slim60 1 #1 Posted April 6, 2012 1981 A81 8hp. B&S 191707. This engine has no points, just stator and magnets. The coil has a plug wire and a ground wire to the trottle kill switch. It has 12v to the stator but no spark to the plug. Ran fine when stored. Bad coil? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
