ericj 1,576 #1 Posted April 4, 2012 here are some pictures of a parts tractor i recently picked up with a p216 onan on it. take a look at these pictures and they tell the story of why this motor blew a rod in the back cylinder. these motors not only need blown off but also degreased. i use simple green straight, sprayed on and rinsed off about once a year, usually when getting ready for the whcc show. a little tlc might have gone a long way to save this one. eric Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Hydro 130 #3 Posted April 4, 2012 You know that sure is not the fault of the engine. Lets face it, the major problem with Onan and Wheel Horse is engine placement and belt guard design. Onan had no control over that. There was a similar issue with Deere, the 300 series, they shrouded the Onans in too much and they failed too. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
