Rollerman 290 #4 Posted July 8, 2008 Perry since you seem to know a little about these....do all the B 10's have those chrome trim pieces at the hood suport sides? The one I've had my eye on actually has an orange simple hood on it too.
perry 82 #5 Posted July 8, 2008 yes, they all the tractors from that era have that crome . but most of the time they are rusty.
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,315 #6 Posted July 8, 2008 Nice looking Allis. That's a lot of clearance between the tires and the rear fenders. Hmm, maybe a set of huge tires and rims are in order. B)

perry 82 #10 Posted July 9, 2008 your allis is missing the right side battery cover. here is one on ebay . he has it listed wrong under a gas tank cover http://cgi.ebay.com/Simplicity-Allis-garde...p3286.m14.l1318 you may want to look for one in a little better shape. but they can be hard to find a nice side panel. i have seen the panels get up to $30 or more for a nice one. ill double check and see if i have a extra. Jim_M 178 #11 Posted July 9, 2008 That's a good looking Allis. I've been trying to find a nice Allis Chalmers for a long time, but they usually sell for more money than I have with me at the time. One of these days I'll find one.
69DEZ 4 #12 Posted July 9, 2008 Perry check and see what you have at home for this AC. What shade of color is close to the original. I want to paint it in the fall. Figure something from Fleet Farm. Know anybody with the side stickers? The parts don't have to be perfect. I don't consider my self as a collector. I like the old tractors and to USE them. Since I got this thing home I've had 2 guys stop and ask about it, and the girl from the gas station comment that her grandpa work at the factory. That is COOL to me. I don't ever think I'll own anything new........unless a 520 becomes unavailable.........and my wife in out of town..........and I win the lottery.........and the dogs keeps her mouth shut............I'd just tell her one of the tractors needed a paint job and a new seat........YEA that will work!!
