With tinted windows, a tool box and the back-rack there is no way to get a rear view mirror shot...so for now a side mirror shot will have to do.

Mike, that's a pretty rare horse you have there, it's the first one I have seen with the starter generator belt guard on the opposite side of the motor:ychain:

Yes, it's a 73 140 H3.  I honestly don't have much interest in any other green and yellow thing, unless if it is quite a bit bigger, but like you said, it's one of those I can respect as well, so I jumped at it, and she's not the prettiest, but seems to be one helluva machine.

The 140 H3s are great machines.  The later ones have the better transmissions in them, as should your '73.  If you aren't already, register at www.wfmachines.com (WFM).  A lot of great info for the older JDs there.

Came across this one and placed the winning bid. Don't often pull the trigger on workers but this one is my favorite model worker.

By the lack of a lift handle I would say 88 or 89 520H.

That seat is original.I think I can get that seat back together as the cover just pulled out and the trim needs to be set back. In fact this entire machine is original. I need to run the numbers but it is an 88 or 89' 520 HC. Been sitting inside for at least 5 years as the po passed and his son sold it. Has a very nice 60" deck too. I am sure this one will clean up real nice!

Spent a little time today after work and got fuel line changed, cleaned carb (was pretty clean) and replaced battery that came with the purchase. It fired right up and ran smooth. The problem that I have now is that I broke off the plastic nipple on top of the fuel pump. I tested the pump and it works great. Does anyone had this issue and fixed the pump? I believe it can be tapped and install a small nipple. I am not sure what the size I need. Any help would be great. I posted pictures of the tractor and deck tags. Based on the numbers this one is a 1989. Now I have a 1988 and 1989 HC.

I don't know about tapping them, but I have a good used onan fuel pump for sale that you can have for $15 to your door if you want it.
