Hey Matt, It can be fun, only 4' high x 4' wide, have been in some very tight spots, and then thought, "NOW WHAT THE HELL" what am I doin stuck in here.

Have been in basements through egress windows, had to take seat off to get in, then no ventilation from exhaust, Now I know What Happened To Me :hilarious:

Hi Guys, I bought the plans, but made alot of changes, More hp, 18 gpm instead of 12, redesigned the articulating joint, larger rotary flow divider, heavier steel,

larger hyd. reservoir for cooling..etc. when first started using it at 2400psi, felt like it was going to tear itself apart, needed to drop pressures to 1800psi, But its still

a Lean, Mean, Very Expensive Digging Machine, With today's economy, would cost around $13,000 - $14,000 to build, Not much to do in ND in the winter except

drink beer and build things. haha

The trencher I did design to lay pipe from a depth of 6" to 28", also the log splitter, that mounts in place of the back hoe, I built that with alot of cams and levers for force and speed, will split a 16" oak log into 8"ths in 12 seconds, its alittle scary at first, but I incorporated some safety valves, so both hand need to be used to activate the stroke..

Wife always stands about 20' away anyway, it scares her, hahaha

Steve, its being used by my brother right now, he's got it mounted on his Case tractor, but as soon as he brings it back in one piece, I will take some pics for ya..

Last year I put a small ad in the flyer for splitting fire wood and I would be the one operating the controls and the home owner and friends would load the logs,

Charged $55/hr, this thing didn't quit running for 3 weeks, 10hr days, before I got so burnt out I ended up in the hospital, So, money isn't everything, Never Again, Maybe for a few friends, I dont trust anyone alone running the thing, to much invested to let someone tear it to pieces.

Tim
