K482 air cleaner housing.

Hey guys I need a pic of an original K482 air filter housing from a 18 auto. Maybe D 180s are the same? Not sure...anyhow I have a housing but its the same as the 12 hp auto of my dads. This whole tractor was cobbed up when I got it, as you all well know. I just want to make sure it gets the right cover.

Heres a pic of mine. The air filter that was on the tractor when I got it stuck out 3 inches under the cover, leading me to believe that this, just like so many other things that were on it, is wrong. The replacement 482 air filter is much taller than the housing leading me to believe the cover is wrong.

the d series cover is the same size as a normal kohler k series just taller for a taller filter i beleive like 3.5 inches tall

Thanks Jordon...I definitely have the wrong freakin cover then...damn....I wonder where I'm gonna find 1 of those now. All the ones I see on fleabay look like the cover from a KT17/19 minus the pipe thingy.

Jordon, or anyone else for that matter. Does the proper air filter housing for this thing look like a KT series housing? Round with the lines in the top, or is the top dished with no lines like the smaller Kohlers of that era? I'm really having an issue with this stinkin thing. Did you just pick up an 18 Auto on your trip with Bob? I thought I saw pics of one in your post. If so could you check that housing?

If you find out what you need for sure I have a big box of aircleaners, I don't remember what my 18 auto had.
