Prater 75 #1 Posted February 28, 2012 OK, I have the oil filter extension on the way for my D180/ now I need the side cover tin. They are on ebay with a set that i really dont need, anyone have just the head tin with the cutout for the filter. I figured it was cheaper to get the tin than to buy the hole saw to cut it myself... Trouty56 565 #2 Posted February 28, 2012 Since you don't really need the side tin why not draw the circle....drill a starter hole....and use a hand held jig saw. Then file the edges a bit with a round file and emery cloth. Or put some plastic edging material around it instead of filing and sanding. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Hodge71 663 #3 Posted February 28, 2012 Steve, Where did you find the oil filter extension kit? I looked for 1 for quite awhile before I decided to build my own remote oil filter mount.
