K482 tin

OK, I have the oil filter extension on the way for my D180/ now I need the side cover tin. They are on ebay with a set that i really dont need, anyone have just the head tin with the cutout for the filter. I figured it was cheaper to get the tin than to buy the hole saw to cut it myself...

Since you don't really need the side tin why not draw the circle....drill a starter hole....and use a hand held jig saw. Then file the edges a bit with a round file and emery cloth.

Or put some plastic edging material around it instead of filing and sanding.

Steve,

Where did you find the oil filter extension kit? I looked for 1 for quite awhile before I decided to build my own remote oil filter mount. BTW, I just ordered a complete tin set from ebay for my 482. I dont need the side with the filter hole in it, Its yours if youd like it.
