how to change avatar

so im wondering how to change my avatar,i clicked on it,tried to paste a pic from photobucket and my pics on my computer,it says couldnt reach the adress or something like that,im so illiterate with the computer,i only know what i know because of red square,when i joined the square is when i got a puter,ive had no lessons or help from anybody,one day i would like to learn how to post links,haha,i dont know how i ever got my avatar up in the first place,cant remember how,any help would be appreciated

Don't feel bad Don, If it wasn't for my grand daughter helping me, i would be lost on the computer. Wish these things would have come out when i was younger. I can remember when television was the newest thing. :hide:

so now i blanked out my avatar all together so i player around with it and found that i needed to use the direct link,not the other one that we use for posting pics in threads,ill see if i got it or not,well i got my old one back on and dont know how,but cant figure out how to put the new one so ill see if anyone can point me in the right rirection,i got the new pis to show on the change picture area but it doesnt show on my avatar,one day maybe i should take a computer coarse

I feel bad for you Don....did you try to use the button called "choose file"??? Then you can navigate to the image on your hard drive and it will upload directly. Don't forget to click "Done" at the bottom of that window and then "Save Changes" at the bottom of the General Account Settings page.

dont know how,probally karl did it but its all good now,thanks for changing it for me
