Fits lots of tractors from 65 to 67, that one having a gen light it must have been a Kohler powered machine, tuckeys use the same dash but have a plug in that hole, but I will say that style gen light I've seen used only on the 67 tractors, it is the big red glass with the thin bezel on it, all others have the wide bezel, but that is just a guess.

i wouldnt think that would be from a 1276.

1276 is a hydro and it would have wheelamatic where the shift pattern was.

both of my 67s (1057 and 1277) have this thin bezel light. i was wondering if they had been changed from the wide bezel or not. more info from anyone on this would be good also.......personally i like the wide rim better, but it would be nice to know what was on the 67 tractors originally.

Martin - I think you are right. Any model with a hydro wouldn't have the shift pattern printed on it.

Interestingly, the ignition switch is a single pole. The body is grounded, and in the off position the single pole is connected to ground. On position it is open. So that indicates to me that this tractor had either a push button for the starter, or it was a pull start. :scratchead:

Yep your right Martin but that is the only difference I see now.

My 1276 is so bad all I could see was the location of everything

That's the exact same #5453 panel & generator light that's in my 1056 - with the exception of the plugged lighter hole.

Can't add anything more about the ignition switch other than things get changed over the years. :confusion-shrug:

I had an 856 with the wide bezel generator light:

Wheel Horse probably used whatever light style was less expensive or on their shelf at the time.

From the 1967 brochure:

Early-production 1968 Raider 12 dash - which should be the same as the 1067/1267:

Consistency in generator light style doesn't appear to exist. :thumbs2:

Which is excellent because I mistakedly bought 2 new wide bezel lights when I thought I was needing narrow bezel ones!

:hide: I should have gone back into my own archives and looked at the pictures of my 856 that I sold back in November. Sure enough, it's the same.

Well thanks to everyone who contributed their knowledge.

For what it's worth,if you took away the red light and put a plug in , It would look identical to my 606 dash.
