LOL - when I read the title of this post I thought it had something to do with cleaning my ears (on my head) while shucking corn. That microwave trick is nice if all you want to do is eat a couple ears - corn ears that is. .

In the video it sounds like he says it's ready to eat but I haven't tried it yet.

We kinda do it like that on the grill. We soak it in a bucket of water for about 20 minutes then throw it on the grill and cook until the shucks looked dried out on the outside. Then just shuck it like normal and all the silks will come off with the shucks. Kinda steams the corn and no mess.
