Pictures of front weight project

Recommended Posts

C-85

I recently took a welding course and had to come up with a project to work on. So I decided to come up with a front weight carrier for the front of my C-85. Since I added my heavy duty rear weight box, the front has been a little light, so I wanted to add some additional weight to the front of it. My goal was to make a weight carrier that would clip into the front tach-a-matic with no tools and be large enough to carry a selection of weights and not interfere with the plow and this unit just clears all angles of the plow. This also rests on the tach-a-matic's frame, not the rods that go across it for extra strength. Most of this is made of 1/4" rectangle steel tubing, a piece of 5/8" rebar, and a piece of channel iron, plus an old Ariens 1" snoblowers front rotor shaft.

The shaft or bar that's holding the weights in place is just sitting in a 1" hole. I left it this way so I can quickly remove it and some of the weights if I need to tilt the hood up all the way.

It was a fun project and I wanted to share it with all you folks! :USA:

Sorry Duff,

Vermont Customs agents wouldn't allow this technology to cross the river

C - Series, Hood and Sheet Metal (square black insert) (also known as black hood models) for sale!

This sheet metal set, including C Series Hood, Dash piece, Seat Bracket, and Left & Right-Side Covers, and Left & Right Floorboards was sandblasted, epoxy primed, and painted the OEM Wheel Horse Red Paint.

The painted set is not perfect, a little metal pitting on one of the floorboards, a few little imperfections in the paint here and there as I'm a rookie painter, but this is a nice painted set of sheet metal to freshen up your C Series Wheel Horse!

Does anyone know where I could find a complete engine rebuild kit from for the k-19 ? I absolutely love my c-195 and have had it for years. But the motor let go last fall and I want to rebuild it or upgrade the motor, any suggestions?

Hello all. I am looking for suggestions on adapting the pto from my C series tractor to a harbor freight predator 420 13hp engine. I know the predator motors are a controversial topic however it is the route I have chosen for this particular machine. The intent was to mostly use it for plowing so no PTO required but it would be handy to have. Looking to hear from someone that has successfully done the swap that may offer any advice before I attempt to transfer it over. Just looking for any general pointers that will help me along the way to make it go as smoothly as possible.
