Saw this C-160 at the salvage yard . Is this a good price?

Went to a local tractor salvage yard with a friend this morning to pick up his chain saw he was having work done to. My son and I decided to take a walk around the yard so I could give him a tractor history session and show him how much better the Wheel Horses are built compared with other inferior brands (I won't name any names. :laughing-rofl: I stumbled upon a C-160(I think) sitting in the mix. It looked to be in pretty good shape for sitting out there as long as it looks like it has. I talked with the guy and he said he was asking $350. What do you think? Is this a descent price? I am attaching some photo's .

If the rod ain't broke and the gears seem to work I'd probably shoot hin an offer of 250 if he is asking 350 and see if he bites.

No comment on the price. :silence:

I'm probably not going to be able to swing it right now. We currently live in town, I just took my barn down this past fall(it kinda started coming down on its own, no where to store extra tractors), and I am currently putting my wife through nursing school. I only hope I can come upon a deal like this in a couple years when we have moved out of town and have a little more room for toys. It would make a really cool project for my son(he's 11) and I to take on. :dunno:

You know I guess I'm a little spoiled with my scrap yard prices but $350 for that at a scrap yard is way more than I ever pay. You know they get these tractors for scrap weight prices. The most I have had to pay for one was $100 + sales tax. That was a tractor, deck and snow blade with two wheel covers.

If it isn't seized $ 350.00 is not too bad but $ 300.00 would be nicer.

Does anyone know where I could find a complete engine rebuild kit from for the k-19 ? I absolutely love my c-195 and have had it for years. But the motor let go last fall and I want to rebuild it or upgrade the motor, any suggestions?

Hello all. I am looking for suggestions on adapting the pto from my C series tractor to a harbor freight predator 420 13hp engine. I know the predator motors are a controversial topic however it is the route I have chosen for this particular machine. The intent was to mostly use it for plowing so no PTO required but it would be handy to have. Looking to hear from someone that has successfully done the swap that may offer any advice before I attempt to transfer it over. Just looking for any general pointers that will help me along the way to make it go as smoothly as possible.

1979 c-101 nice project tractor just needs a few odds and ends, steering wheel, coil, carburetor bowl, the wiring was redone by previous owner....all 4 tires are good and hold air it goes into all gears no problem, transmission fluid has been changed, 10hp Kohler, message me or call or txt with any questions, it does run and runs well,  it’s been kept inside since I’ve had it, I would also trade for a mid mount grader blade thanks

Will the plow I am using on my C121 and C160 work on a 876?
or is the plow frame different?
      Thanks
