Wheel Horse Storage

Recommended Posts

Anyone build a storage area just for their WH tractors? lets see them.

My covenance does not allow any portable buildings and I dont have the budget for my shop yet. I plan to pour a pad next to my fence and make a lean too that will be hidden from site. My neighbors will know but they dont care as we all share yards and yard equipment. It was kind of a breeding ground for bugs as I just dropped all my spare parts off in a pile and dug through them as I needed. last year we had a huge problem with Black Widows and there were several nests in my parts area. This prompted me to really get on the ball and clean up the area. Just a few shots of the cleanup...

Here are all the parts that were covered in two or three years of fallen leaves.

The are is much cleaner and the spiders have been eleminated somewhat...

Just starting to dig a small foundation and set up some forms, I may just fill with gravel once I find out how much concrete will cost me

Hopefully I can get by with this until I have the funds for a 30x50 shop...

We have a 30 X 40 pole barn, but there is way too much stuff in there, so the wife bought a "garage in a box" last weekend.

It is 12 X 20 and should hold enough stuff from the garage so we can move around in the garage and work on things with having to move items around like a puzzle.

See the link..

i added this 16X24 lean-to last year to store my toys (not just the horses) because there was no room in the shop left to work. im really glad i built it now that ive got it, it sure frees up alot of space.

I didn't build mine, but It's what I have.

52 1/2' x 90'. 45' x 52 1/2' concrete pad, 45'x521/2' dirt floor.

The concrete area is my summer shop, split up into 4 sections, 3 -15'x17' bay's laid out for my different hobbies and 35'x45' for automotive tinkering. My storage area is the dirt floor area!

This shop is to big to heat so my winter workshop is here! Not much storage space here but good for tinkering!

I built this barn a few years ago to store my stuff. The right side is mostly Wheel Horse tractors (2) and some attachments. The left side holds a larger Ford tractor with attachments.

Jusjeepn, WOW. I could only imagine having that much room.

A portable building would be perfect, but the neighborhood does not allow it...I have to sneak in the lean too on the fence...

No poisonous spiders or snakes - Just mouse nests to deal with, not Black Widows!

Amcrules00, they get along pretty good together. Lol. I was raised on my grandparents (dads side) farm with all John Deere, but my grandparents ( moms side) had a wheel horse dealership so I guess I'm caught in the middle

Hm12460, that John Deere is a "50" , my great grandpa bought it brand new. After he passed in 2001 we completely restored it.
