DoctorHfuhruhurr 136 #2 Posted January 8, 2012 Have you considered a polyethylene wear edge? (3/4 inch UHMW - Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) You may want to check out this post....
Sparky-(Admin) 19,673 #3 Posted January 8, 2012 I don't think that the cutting edge is NLA so I'm almost positive you can. Mike.....

DoctorHfuhruhurr 136 #5 Posted January 8, 2012 Also i have a dirt driveway(old farmhouse).Would if it matter if i used metal or poly? According to that post I linked to there was one person who said the highway dept got 2 years use out of them so I'd imagine it would last a really long time for your use. I thought I read somewhere that some people flipped the existing wear bar and used the other side when possible. You might want to check that out since it wouldn't require any $$. You may have to bevel the edge with a grinder.
Jim_M 178 #6 Posted January 8, 2012 They're made to be flipped so you may want to look at it and see if it has an unused side. I don't think I would worry about grinding a bevel on it, they're " self beveling".
