This guy really needs a Wheel Horse, got to give him credit though.

CNN PRODUCER NOTE snowplowcar1 doesn't have a snowtruck to tackle the wintry weather of Peninsula, Ohio, so he rigged a working snow plow to the back of his 2001 Kia Sephia sedan. 'It works extremely well on the back of the car, and with the snow tires on the car it has plenty of traction. A 12-volt ATV winch raises and lowers the blade, the controller that came with the winch is in the car,' he said. 'We really can't drive anywhere without turning heads at intersections and camera phones coming out of peoples pockets.'

- jmsaba, CNN iReport producer

Ohio man (26) attaches atv snow plow system to his 2001 kia sephia.. says its only possible because of the snow tires.post-5715-0-81806100-1325787505_thumb.jp

A mans gotta do what a mans gotta do! Its surely easier than shoveling  . I bet the little light duty tranny in the Kia doesn't like pushing snow one bit.

At least he's not sitting on his butt, waiting for someone else to come shovel him out. :dunno:

I'd love to see a video of that in action. :eusa-think:

Not sure if it will hold up long. Like was said earlier...better than shoveling. Last winter I measured up the front of the G6 to weld up a mount so I could mount a lawn tractor plow. They are for sale all the time around here...sometimes for $50. I figured I could have had a whole setup up and running for about $150. The G6 transmission has surprised me with how much abuse it can take so I figured why not. It has at least 20k plus miles of pulling 2k pounds or so. Probably another 10k miles of pulling 1k pounds. Driving back from Montana with a loaded down car and trailer I would probably tipped the scales around 7500 pounds easily. Still got 22.5 mpg!! Just change the fluid often and drive the snot out of it.

Maybe I can sell my 310-8 and put a plow on the G6. I would have more room in the shed to tinker with other things then. If I only knew where I put all my drawings...I believe I even drew them up in autocad on my other laptop.

I guess it's his car and his snowplow, he can do what ever he want to. If he has a big fat wife in the back seat it might work pretty good.

If your going to kill a car I guess a Kia would be a good candidate. I wonder if he's been pulled over for an obstructed plate yet.

this was on the local news here. Peninsula is about 10 minutes from my house. They had a video of him plowing with it. I tried to find it but couldn't ...Sorry
