AMC RULES 37,195 #1 Posted December 9, 2011 Out of curiosity, I'm wondering. In your opinion, what is the most desirable Wheelhorse attachment available for your tractor, and why? :confusion-shrug:
smoreau 658 #2 Posted December 9, 2011 Well that would be my V blade for me. Why? well because I built it and I love how well it works. But factory attachment would be my 50" center grader blade. I have used it allot this summer and does a great job with driveways and leveling dirt in the yard. It can dig into small hills better then the dozer blade, and will move allot of dirt if you want it to. here is a pic of the v blade.
Sparky-(Admin) 23,120 #3 Posted December 9, 2011 For me its the front snow/dirt plow. I've pushed snow, dirt, mud, stone, gravel, sand and leaves with mine. I've also used it as a "pushbar" to move dead tractors and quads. Its a four season attachment at my house. Mike......
Kelly 1,033 #4 Posted December 10, 2011 Ok you said desirable, not usefull, so I'll say sickle bar, they always bring good money, and sell fast very hard to find them, the most used a snowblade, can be used year round, the 50" mid grader is a close second. AMC RULES 37,195 #5 Posted December 10, 2011 Interesting, no one's said FEL yet?
Jake Kuhn 1,579 #6 Posted December 10, 2011 mine would be a blade,Jake
hm12460 53 #7 Posted December 10, 2011 Without a doubt, the lowly mower deck. My large yard would be a jungle without it.
can whlvr 994 #8 Posted December 10, 2011 desirable would be fel,it would look really nice on the c160
dgoyette 12 #9 Posted December 10, 2011 I would have to go with the single stage 42" tall chute. A tractor mounted snow thrower is what got me into garden tractors to begin with. I would not want to go back to the old 24" walk behind I have in the shed. It took a lot longer and was not nearly as much fun :)
dennist 139 #10 Posted December 10, 2011 I have to go with my 36" tiller attachment. It was the first attachment I got and I only use it a few times a year, but I get very happy to use it. Maybe it is because Spring is in the air, but I find myself over tilling and looking for areas to till up that may not even be for a garden. When I first got the tiller I can not stress enough that I thought it would be junk and not be capable with that long belt and fairly light weight design, but it breaks up new ground and does very well on existing plots. I will never pass up a good priced FEL either!
AMC RULES 37,195 #11 Posted December 10, 2011 Good to know, I've often thought that about tillers too.
Docwheelhorse 2,740 #12 Posted December 10, 2011 Well my answer will be based on "out of the norm that everybody has..." My 5000 watt factory and 10,000 watt Redsquare member built gensets have been a life saver to me..... espescially during the big snow of a month ago. Next I would have to say that the Car Wash belt driven pressure washer pump that I have that was rigged to snap into the front tach-a-matic.... puts out 2500 psi @ 3 gpm. Finally I will give the third place runner up to my belt driven factory bagger system.... Tony
farmer 1,078 #13 Posted December 10, 2011 I go along with dennist, ploughs, tillers, mean planting and growing....working the soil. Mower decks are essential, but a little tedious. But that's just me. :)
stevasaurus 23,274 #14 Posted December 10, 2011 i have to say the dozer blade on the 857 is it for me. My 857 has headlights on the ftont and amber marking lights on the back. There is nothing better then moving snow on a nice winter night.
rwilson 128 #15 Posted December 11, 2011 I'm gonna say my mower deck. When i'm board I got and mow the lawn. even if i just did it the day befor. only takes 30 mins to do.
nylyon-(Admin) 7,880 #16 Posted December 12, 2011 The most desirable is the one I don't have.... well actually I don't have many at all, so they're all desirable.
