lighting question

Good morning everyone. I have a wiring question. I am trying to put warning lights on the bobcat. It doesn't have any at this point. I have a three pronged flasher in stock here and I am trying to wire it to the lights, (2 standard tractor lights). I know that there is a X, L ,P, on the flasher and I think "X" is power and "L" is load. But, what is "P" for? And, do I need to use the "P" terminal? Also, do I put the switch on the power side of the flasher or on the load side like a household switch? :dunno: Thanks for any help. Pat

"P" is power. Put the switch [along with a fuse] before flasher. "X" I think is for a dash indicator light.

On my Bob there is an extra lug on the light switch for accesory light, First position.
