B-165 Brake Caliper question

Recommended Posts

dburns

I recently got a B-165 (02-16bp01) and the brake was disconnected and it had a broken bolt on the caliper. I think I have it figured out how it hooks up but i had a question about the caliper, there are two steel pins and I wanted to know if those are supposed to move back and forth or not. thanks

Yes - the pins need to move so they can push the outer pad against the brake disc.

ok thanks, thats what i thought but these are frozen where they are and I cant find any information on the brakes not even an exploded view. So you should be able to move them back and forth with your hand

Yes - they should move easily & the brake disc should also be free to slide on the shaft.

Here's an IPL for the Peerless transaxle: LINK
