jbumgarner 12 #1 Posted September 23, 2011 I am thinking about my next tractor and I want atleast 12-16HP & 8 speed. Would it be a lot of trouble to install on a 1054 or 854. I want to build a worker and like the styling of both tractors. I also don't want to get into a ton of fabricating. Could this work or would I be better off looking for say a C-160 with the 8 speed. sorekiwi 761 #2 Posted September 23, 2011 If you dont want to do some fabricating, go for the C Series. The big block Kohlers wont fit under the hood of the 854, and the 1054 will need mods to fit the 8 speed as the bolt pattern on the front of the transmission is different.
