snowhound 103 #1 Posted September 21, 2011 I need to remove the starter on my 1987 416-8 with a Kohler Magnum and would like to know if there is anything I should look out for. I looks like I will have to remove the oil filler tube so I assume I need to drain the oil. Is there anything else I should look out for? can whlvr 991 #3 Posted September 22, 2011 if you havnt done it yet watch once you take the starter off,it will fall apart once the bolts that hold it to the engine are taken out,and go easy on the bolts that hold it to the engine, work them slowly, they can break as they are only 1/4 inch
