COMMANDO6 20 #1 Posted September 10, 2011 Hey. It just occured to me earlier that I've never seen the ID tag with the serial number and model number off my Commando 6. It looks like there were some numbers stamped into the bracket thing for the implement lift arm, but the piece is pitted so I can't really make it out. Where was the plate originally located on the tractor? Thanks.
mavfreak 11 #2 Posted September 11, 2011 it should be on the dash tower just below the dash
kosmikdebris 0 #3 Posted September 12, 2011 left side, just above fuel shut-off valve but below hood line.
CasualObserver 3,406 #4 Posted September 12, 2011 No, not the left side. That was later. 1968 they were under the dash.
COMMANDO6 20 #5 Posted September 12, 2011 Yeah, it's a 68 and the mounting holes are under the dash. But my dad apparently removed it when we did a partial restoration about 8 years back. It's probably floating about in our garage somewhere. Thanks guys. Now to hunt it down...
kosmikdebris 0 #6 Posted September 12, 2011 Oops. seen "commando", got excited. 6's are older than 8's, so for self-administered punsihment, I'm going to go re-line my weed whacker.
COMMANDO6 20 #7 Posted September 13, 2011 You know, Wheel Horse should have made weed whackers. I think Toro does, whatever that counts for.
