shootinok 15 #1 Posted September 6, 2011 The perfect way to close a good long weekend was to sit on my back porch and enjoy a nice pipe full of Lane HS-3 with a couple of cold beers. We finally got a couple of nice days here where the temperature stayed below a hundred and f__(. I was able to get a lot of work done. This evening, after mowing the lawn with my trusty C-121, I sat outside and watched the sun go down while sipping a cold one. I decided the cool breeze was the perfect invitation to light up my pipe. Turned out to be a wonderful evening. As the horizon turned from orange to dark purple the stars started to show up to join me. Then they took shape into constellations as it grew darker and darker. chesbaycruiser 83 #3 Posted September 6, 2011 Don't smoke a pipe, but I do enjoy the occasional fine cigar. Sounds like we had very similar experiences... Yesterday I spent the whole day helping a neighbor cut, split and stack the wood from an 90' White Oak tree that crashed through his backyard fence during Hurricane Irene. The ol' B-80 got quite the workout hauling all that wood! At the end of the day, the tractor was still rearing to go, but I came home worn out, sore and filthy dirty! It was hard work, but rewarding. After a shower and a bite to eat, I kicked back on the deck with my Lab at my feet, some good background music playing, a couple of cold beers and a nice Arturo Fuente Toro. I too enjoyed the cool breeze, setting sun, and the arrival of a blanket of stars. It was the beautiful ending to a great day.
