fireman 1,021 #5 Posted August 16, 2011 The machine came with all (and I mean ALL) the paperwork from new... Noreen's uncle had bought the machine in Illinois and sent it out to Phoenix for them to use on the farm. It has since been retired and replaced with a newer machine but Noreen just could not sent the old friend to the scrap heap or see it 'parted out'. Grandma assured her I have owned over 50 tractors and 'never sold a one!' Most are with my son or grandson and a few with friends, but I never sold one or parted a good one out. Nice score! And I will be the first to say "Thank You" for NOT parting out any of your tractors like a lot of people do . Keep up the road trips (They are fun!) and saving the "old iron" :woohoo:

farmer 1,075 #7 Posted August 16, 2011 Great story and pictures, maybe you could have done a 'fly by' to have checked it out, Seems like a lesson to us all, if you want a rust free machine, go to the desert for a horse with no name, good to to be out of the rain? Now where have I heard that before? :ROTF:

It's pays to have people know what you collect! Definitely worth the trip.
