Stupidity should be painful

Well i guess I'll be taking it slow for a couple months.

Had band camp this week and decided to try a backflip off a ledge and went to try it and landed it but my right ankle gave out and broke my tibia. Really sucks because i had a bunch of exciting stuff coming up. Was just starting a relationship with a girl but now cant go anywhere. Suspended my truck insurance til october. I think it happened because i have sprained my right ankle twice.

Had to wait in the hospital 6 hours and then went home and went back this morning. They had plans for a rod and some pins but i lucked out and i was ok so got a cast.

You should get that new girl to help you out, you could use a little sympathy.

you're young and will heal fast, give it 10 days or 2 weeks for the swelling to go down and for you to get used to cruches and you'll be back to full speed. Like Kelly said you need the new girl to help you out a little :woohoo:

Hey Charlie, I know how you feel but it wasn't my stupidity this time. Monday afternoon I was unloading my saw at the next job for the day. I started the saw, started backing it up onto the liftgate got to my marks where I move the control hancle back towards neutral and even tried to move it forward to no avail. Well needless to say the saw rolled off of the back of the liftgate not before I reached across to shut the motor off. When I did that sucessfully I had to get back out of the way so it did not take me with it, at which point the momentum thru me off of the side of the liftgate. It stands about 4' to 4 1/2' above the ground. I still at this point can not stand to get on crutches. Being immovable bites. Needless to say. Hope you heel soon. :woohoo:

:D

Sucks though because shes almost a year younger than me so she would need a ride... Ugh i was driving her around a little until this. I've got a lot of good friends that can help me out once scholl starts.

Maybe one of them can help you spell school. :D Just kidding Charlie, it sucks to be laid up, especially in the summer. The good news is that at your age you will heal fast and get back to your life. :woohoo:

No tractor time! Dads mowing with the d-250 uh oh.... Last time he operated it he blew the trans. Grass will be a foot long by the time that 1277 makes its 25 minute 1/2 acre swath.

Mopars will be resting in peace....

Charlie you showed bad judgement trying that back flip, chalk it up to lack of experience. Here's a quote from Mark Twain that's appropriate: Good judgment comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgment. -Mark Twain

FYI, over the past 68 years I've told two Judges and three Emergency Room Doctors "Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time"......

Hang in there Charlie, you'll heal fast, and milk out the sympathy from the girls as long as you can.
