kpinnc 10,980 #1 Posted June 10, 2008 Well, Time is running out, and I've still got alot of work to do. But, I keep seeing all the "progress" post by different members on here. There's a whole lotta nice work on all these other posts! Mike's C101, Eldon's Electro and C120, and a whole bunch of others! Thought I'd add a few pics of my Bronco's progress (or lack thereof- ), and hopefully she'll be done by next Thursday.... Anyway, here's a few pics: TT's ideas on the fender notch turned out really well: The lift arms, etc... And if there are any doubts as to the quality of TD's (Vinylguy52) decals, here's a comparison for you. The original is on top, and his reproduction underneath. Very Nice work! Hopefully, she'll be done in time!
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,350 #2 Posted June 10, 2008 Kevin, It's good to see the progress you have made. It's really looking great. You still have a few days left until the show, so hopefully it'll be enough to get it finished (I'm sure you will).
Rollerman 290 #3 Posted June 10, 2008 Kevin wile I'm still in doubt if I'll make the show...if I do...seeing your 3 point setup I'm sure will be one of the high lights as far as checking out the tractors. The Bronco is looking great too...tell me about the tri ribs up front?
kpinnc 10,980 #4 Posted June 10, 2008 The Bronco is looking great too...tell me about the tri ribs up front? Thanks Stephen, and TMo! The ribs are Firestone 16x6.50x8's. You can only get them from Miller Tire Co, and occasionally on Fleabay (which is where I got them). I saved quite a few bucks that way, and they were new, still wrapped in plastic. Miller Tire sells them for (go ahead and sit down for this) $140 ... I didn't pay that much, but they were still high. I saved about $50-75 on the rear tires, or otherwise they would have never made the budget.... Kevin
Teddy da Bear 11 #5 Posted June 10, 2008 Wheel horses have budgets??? You guys better never let my wife know!!! :WRS:

TT-(Moderator) 1,129 #7 Posted June 10, 2008 Kevin -- you and I have been chatting back & forth on thoughts and ideas on things for a while now. I appreciate all of the "sneak-peeks" over the build stages too! There's no doubt in my mind that your Bronco belongs on the list! She sure is one tough-lookin' Horse! And don't fret the lack of time.... you're still way ahead of me. :D
kpinnc 10,980 #8 Posted June 10, 2008 Thanks for the comps and assurances fellas! And don't fret the lack of time.... you're still way ahead of me. I dunno TT, I've seen you get alot done in a short period of time so far. I'm sure we'll both have everything done on time! May have to pull a couple "all nighters" next week, but it'll happen! CasualObserver 3,406 #9 Posted June 10, 2008 Kevin that looks great, I really like how that fender notch came out. I think Stephen's right, your Bronco is going to be one of the "must see's" of the show!
kj4kicks 151 #10 Posted June 10, 2008 Lookin Good Kevin ! You're still way ahead of me. I'm just now starting on the red...
kpinnc 10,980 #11 Posted June 10, 2008 Kevin that looks great, I really like how that fender notch came out. Thanks Jason, I have to give credit where it's due though- TT gave the idea, and a couple step-by step direction-enclosed messages for me to go with. That's the great thing about this forum (or one of many great things)- I can't take much credit for many of the modifications to it. There are so many of you who contributed ideas that it's almost a "community project". I can only hope it will turn out half as good as I hope it will. I'm certainly glad that you guys want to see it in person, but I assure you there are some seriously sharp machines coming from this forum that will amaze us all. There are some very talented people here, and they have alot to show for it! And Eldon, I may have a coat of red on her, but chances are, your's won't need the re-work mine will. My paint (fix) may have to wait until after the show. There's enough trash in it to call it a garbage truck! Plus, I'm sure you'll get them both done! Thanks again everyone! kpinnc 10,980 #12 Posted June 11, 2008 More pics of some more progress this evening. Got the tower repaired, painted, and back on the frame: Cylinder isn't ready yet, so I had to prop up the 3 point. The business end: Of course, the pics look much better than the real thing. I hope to have time to finish the disk set as well. We'll see... Kevin

TT-(Moderator) 1,129 #18 Posted June 13, 2008 How is the "black" tractor coming? Honestly - I wish I never would have started it! Something resembling it will be at the show. Thank goodness I have the design and fabrication efforts to fall back on, 'cause sheetmetal and paint wise, IT'S TERRIBLE! :WRS:

I don't know TT, the stuff I have seen of your's looks very nice... We'll park side by side, and claim we were trying to make a map with the bug tracks in the hoods!
