P3x 55 #1 Posted August 7, 2011 Probably a stupid question but I'd rather be humbled than scratch my 520! What holds the instruments into the panel? After the closeout layer is removed the instruments seem mounted and secured to the sheet meyal panel with a plastic ring. Tried turning ever so gently and they do not seem threaded. CRE1992 135 #2 Posted August 7, 2011 Look behind the battery, there will be machine screws that are fused with the plastic in the gauges along with a metal brace with little nuts holding it in place. The Gauge itself has a lip which holds it from falling through the holes in the dash. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
