hodge 6 #1 Posted June 9, 2008 I've never had a real hydro before, just a 115-H. I pulled the dipstick today on the 520, and it came out dry. It moves fine. According to the PDF file, the 520 only takes hydro oil (10W30), whereas the others (14,16,&18) take hydro oil in the pump, and gear oil in the differential. What's up with mine? Am I just low on 10W30 (the previous owner just serviced it), or does this unit take gear oil in the back? Before someone says it, I guess I could call him, and ask what's up.
