Lawn boy 6211

My dad bought this mower new. he's getting up there in years. So last Xmas my sister an I bought him a Toro Personal Pace. Personally I think its junk....but he loves it. The old Lawn Boy still runs great. Its has the 3hp marine 2 stroke. 1 gallon orange fuel tank. Cast aluminum deck and heavy duty ball bearing casters. I can still remember the guy at Boonton power telling dad "this will out live you." He was dead on. I was 11 years old. Now at 36 I believe the logic. Its kind of like a Wheel Horse. OVERBUILT by today's standards.

Anyway dad called me earlier and claims he saw collectors paying $300 - $400 for these. Seriously? I'd be happy with $75 - 100. But I figured if there was a group of guys who might know something about it.....THIS IS THE PLACE!!!!

Thanks

Kevin

I am new to lawnboys so I can't help much with a value I do know that the one you have is a commercial mower and these are some of the more sought after models. I did not like lawnboys much until I recently started working for a lawn equipment dealer/repair shop...lawnboys are so simple and reliable I now use them on my farm for trimming mowers, I can mow anything without killing the motor, they start so easily and I like the smell of the 2 cycle oil it reminds me of being on the lake :woohoo: . I have sold a lot of toro personal pace mowers they seem to be the new thing that everyone wants but I sold my personal pace and am keeping an old lawnboy and looking to collect a few of the more unusual ones like the IH version and maybe a "brick head".
