Bud, I'm sure there are many here who would give those Horses a good home and they'd be well cared for, :woohoo: but let's not be in any hurry to pass them on. :ROTF: I believe you have a few more projects left in you. Life is about more than the material things you leave behind. It's about the legacy you leave to your family and friends. Your legacy is how you saw a rusty piece of metal and created an amazing work of art out of it that won the admiration of an entire tractor forum and was featured in a magazine dedicated to the hobby we enjoy.

Your son may not think much of it yet but the day will come when he'll realize the importance of your life to his. It usually hits a guy like a brick one day when he least expects it. :D

Very well put Jim. I never expected to live back in my parents home..untill I was cleaning it out after they had both passed. However, you can leave your gasser with me if all else fails. :woohoo:

bud,

Its a sad thought but one that needs addressed. I'm still young enough that my grandparents are still around save one. That one though started the horse sickness in me. When grandpa passed and we started cleaning up all his stuff and there was alot of it cause grandpa saved everything. Grandma wanted this old tractor gone and she called me to come get it and scrap it well I couldn't so now its mine.

You never know what time brings so maybe your boy will have a change of heart when the time comes. Lets hope that time is a long way off. This place just wouldn't be the same without you.

Bud...it is one less thing to worry about if you have your affairs in order. :woohoo: As far as the horses, I have already discussed this with a few members here. I have a list, and the wife and kids know where it is at, with the names of the members and who has first dibs on which horses and attachments if the kids decide they are not interested. I know, either way, the herd will have a good home and be taken care of. Life is good. :D

I am not afraid of dying...I am afraid I will have to go through this again. :ROTF:

HHhhhmmmm...well Bud I have a nice place in NY's Adirondack Park where they would enjoy 10 - 20 hours of ride time a year. Lakefront views. And of course instilling a maintenance schedule in my now 2y 51 week old son, Aug 4 is his birthday:). Anyway they wouldn't have all of the creature comforts offered up by Duke. But they'd be in good company and very well cared for.

My wife and I wrote our will when she was pregnant with Cole. They told us then that it may need to be amended once a child is born. Wonder how I should amend it now that I own two horses?

Cole is the little guy with his big cousin Curt

Take a tip from pet owners; leave your entire inheritance to your horses!!! If your kids want anything, they'll be stuck with taking care of your tractors.
