Dan Peek, one of the three founders and original members of the group America died Sunday, July 24.

The thing is he lived about 15 miles from me and I never knew it. For those who don't know, just google "Horse with No Name" or "Tin Man" or "Sister Goldenhair".

No way, He had a great voice. I grew up listening to America. It was one of my favorite bands, still is.

I hear you Bob, I was thinking the same thing myself. Sadly, as time goes on were going to start seeing this more and more. I dont know if anyone else does this but it kind of floored me when I read the article and saw he was 60. In my head since the music is always there for me, I tend to forget that time did not does not and will never stand still and before I knew it is 30 or 40 years later and these very people are not in their 20's anymore just as Im not 8 or 18 anymore for that matter.
