Things I've Learned

Recommended Posts

This has been hanging in my garage for years and i enjoy it every time i read it. Hope you do too..... Andy Rooney wrote the following and called it simply "THINGS I'VE LEARNED!"

- The best class room in the world is at the feet of an elderly person.

- That you should never say "no" to a gift from a child.

- That simple walks with my father around the block on summer nights when i was a child did wonders for me as an adult.

- That life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes.

- That to ignore the facts doesn't change the facts.

- That when you plan to get even with someone you are only letting them continue to hurt you.

- That the easiest way to grow as a person is to surround yourself with people smarter than you are.

- That there's nothing sweeter than sleeping with your babies and feeling their breath on your cheeks.

- That i can't choose how i feel, but i can choose what i do about it.

- That i wish i had told my Mom one more time I loved her before she passed away.

- That when your newly born grandchild holds your little finger in his little fist, you're hooked.

- That life is tough, but i am tougher!
