I have found the rectifier, and i believe that its called a regulator in the myst. guide i have.

I might be trying to rush a solution to my problem, but i thought it was a simple problem.

By forcing the DC starter motor to run(car battery), and observing that the gas engine did NOT start, i thought that i had ruled out the regulator, or any ignition circuit as the problem.

I thought (wrong again it would seem :woohoo: ) that starting the DC motor would energize the coil, and get the spark plug working, since i was wrong,

what is powering the coil for the spark plug?

Keep in mind that the battery is removed.

The battery needs to energize the coil also it stays on when the starter is off. The rectifier is a different thing it is used in the charging circuit.

start with the basics, battery charged,12.5V+?, both ends of the battery cables clean and tight?, battery grounded to the engine properly?, Battery V at the solinoid?, ignition switch B term?, back at the solinoid small term with the key in the start position?, the wiring from the keyswitch will probably include safty switches at the clutch/brake pedal,seat and PTO, they are all required to be closed(have continuity) to energize the solinoid small wire, at the solinoid to starter terminal?, and at the starter + terminal? when yes to the above the engine should crank when the key is in the start position if not fix the bad connection or replace the bad component and continue.
