removing mower deck

I am trying to remove mower deck, I was following the steps on how to remove mower deck, I got to Step 6 on removing pin on the PTO bar. How do you remove rod and remove belt ? I read one pst that said this should be very quick. Help, I am missing something here.

I think I know where you're stuck........

It would help to know exactly what tractor you're dealing with, but since most models are similar, this should help:

Remove the clip and unhook that rod from the triangular-shaped piece at the top of the bail (hoop in front of the PTO pulley) so the bail can be pulled out far enough to swing back past the stub shaft on the pulley. (you did remove the pin through the stub shaft on the end of the PTO pulley, right?)
