My good friend and 'winter' neighbor here in Arizona (Farmer Fred) went back home to his summer house and 14 zillion acre farm in Idaho (or Iowa not sure ??? I don't listen well when I been drinking)

But Fred is my age (70) and we both have a lifetime long love of tractors, airplanes and women in bikinis.......whoops, did I say bikinis? I meant to say dump trucks.

Fred sent me this E-mail and it sure hits home:

I haven't started up one of my tractors, the Jeep, the Plymouth, my main garden tiller, or the Uni-Harvester-----------------, but, I've started my other six tractors, two pick-ups, the car, the Peterbilt dump truck, the Kubota four wheeler, the JD swather, all three lawn mowers, leaf blower, weed eater, little tiller, hedge trimmer--------plus Kay's Pond Prowler with the battery trolling motor!!! They're all happy to get some attention after a seven month rest!!! Even old Steiger. WE went for a ride to the gate and back!

Now I know this ain't no RJ.......but could you picture your lovely wife sending you down to get the mail and you take this????

God.............I love tractors.....

Man I'd love to tool around in one of those green machines some day! Maybe even hook a plow up and get the garden ready! Awesome!

STEIGER was always my favorite growing up. The neighbors across the field behind my house growing up had a Panther. I would sit and watch/listen to that thing for hours every fall as they plowed all the fields around me.
