stoneman 10 #1 Posted May 16, 2011 Inner Peace: This is so true If you can start the day without caffeine, If you can be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains, If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles, If you can eat the same food every day and be grateful for it, If you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time, If you can take criticism and blame without resentment, If you can conquer tension without medical help, If you can relax without alcohol, If you can sleep without the aid of drugs . . . Then you are probably the family dog! Have a great day!

Redbirdman 7 #3 Posted May 17, 2011 cool....unfortunatly my last dog was a drunk and whining complainer too (just like me). But as they say, the more dogs I meet the less I like people..... If you have not seen this 'talkin dog'....check it out: This guy pictured here (the good looking one with hair) was an amazing case.....JD is his name (stands for "just dog")... He's not 'ours' but we are 'his'. My neighbor found a dog running in the desert and brought him to the pound.......he could not keep him because his wife was deployed in Iraq and he was a pilot and not home a lot. So while at the pound dropping off the other dog he spots JD.......who was slated to be put down because he had a bad limp, was probably old and no-one claimed him for the max days. So he brings him home. well, eventually JD could not walk at all and the vet said he should be 'put to sleep'....well, momma me and my granddaughter 'adopted him' and walked him everyday.... There was a point where he could not even move without screaming, so we kept him bundled up and carried him to the cart for his walks. the vet tried a new 'cancer' drug and his regular owner got him a 'dog'...(A little female friend)....JD is now fully recovered...chases rabbits and I swear I see him lounging around smoking a cigarette with a big grin on his face now.................................. when JD comes over for a visit now, he looks me right in the eyes....and I know there is something very special there between us....
