Lift handle falls out of tractor

This may have been covered some place but i have yet to find it.

on my 1974 B-80, my lift arm falls out of the frame all the time, i looked at the parts breakdown but can't seem to see where/how it is "locked" into the frame.

what am i missing?

this whole shaft slides out, i can push the release button and shove it back in and it okay till a couple times lifting/lowering then it's back out again.

i thought about pulling it out drilling a hole and insert a washer and cotter key, but would like to "fix" it correctly if i can.

Look right inside the dash tower or in your manual you posted there is a hole for a pin.. right beside the block that has the bolt holes to hold it in.. Might be full of dirt but there is one there!! It's about an 1" to the right of your red arrow!!

:thumbs: i will look tonight if it's not raining.. yeah i know she is setting outside but I am still waiting on new key's and the hub repair, it sorta has to sit where it broke.
