Tire Sizing

Recommended Posts

LuckyJohn

I have a set on of Carlisle 23x8.5x12 bar tires on my 516H, I was wondering if I can put some Duro 23x10.50x12 on the same rims and back on the tractor? I like the way the 8.5 fit on there but having the extra width for traction would be great as well.

Thanks

John

The wide tires will work on those rims, but they will be more rounded than flat. If you really want to get extra width of wider the tire than you should put them on wider rims.

Yea, Tom's right. Mount them on 8 inch wheels. They will look great. Hope this helps.

This does help me a lot, but were can I get some 8" rims? E-Bay, or is there someplace on the web?

The duro brand tires run a bit small, i have a set on stock 7" rims they bow a little but not to bad, Goodyear, carlisle and firestone run the normal size.
