lawmatblue 0 #1 Posted April 24, 2011 Hi, I just bought a 310-8 wheel horse. the guy I bought it from said the mower deck was a 42" deck. when i mow my lawn it leaves strips in between the blades i was wondering if he had put wrong size blade on it? and how can i tell what size my deck is? and what baldes work best for mowing? Kelly 1,028 #2 Posted April 24, 2011  And I'm going to guess you have a rear discharge deck? they are kinda known for leaving strips if the blades are worn out, any good quailty blade will work, some like gattor blades others the high lift and yet others the normal flat blade. n1defan 47 #4 Posted April 24, 2011 First Second there should be a serial number tag on the deck to find out what it is or you can just measure it from the outside of the blades to find out how big it is.
lawmatblue 0 #5 Posted April 24, 2011 no its a side discharge deck. I bought the tractor for $400 and when i started mowing with it it would mow about 1.5" but i found this website and read to put bigger tires on it to so thats what i did. any info you can give me would be great!
