drive belt

Hello, this seems to be the place to find some answers! I am now the proud sole owner of a C100 Wheelhorse since my husband passed away. We got it approx 1972. He took great care of her, and she's still going. Though the muffler just fell off so she's a bit loud. Lol

My dilemma, the long drive belt just broke, and my son in law is just not too mechanically inclined. I have been searching around with no results. Is there somewhere to get a diagram of just how to replace this? And make it work?

I have been so spoiled with my Dad and husband just Knowing guy things, it's rough now.

I have bookmarked taking off the mower deck (42 inch) and a few other things, but need to make this real simple.

Thanks for any forthcoming help.

Hi and welcome to RedSquare. By drive belt do you mean the belt from the engine to the rear axle or the belt from the engine to the mower?

again

To the mower, the big long one that makes the blades go.

The other end of the belt just goes in the top groove of the center pulley on the deck. Once you get the top and front, it will be pretty clear where it goes.

Good luck !
