rmaynard 14,950 #1 Posted April 15, 2011 While cleaning up my spare parts pile, I was sorting wheels and came up with a question. All of the rear wheels have lug bolt holes that look like this: The hole is more or less flush with the rim where the head of the lug bolt tightens against it. However, one pair of wheels looks like this: As you can see, the hole actually projects above the surface. Anybody know why? All of the first type were all taken off of Wheel Horse tractors, 1976 and newer. The odd wheels were purchased in a lot of parts from Dave's Tractor World. Kelly 1,028 #3 Posted April 15, 2011 WH used those rims in the mid 70's, they are 2 piece wheels but are front and backs with a double thick center, I have 2 sets like them off a C-120 and a C-81 I've seen them on other Wh's, I know JD used them in the early 70's also.
