401's looking better

Recommended Posts

Jake Kuhn

Hi guys,Well today I added my signature duallie to the modified 401 (the black one).

In the last couple weeks I began putting the restored 401 together(also a duallie). I put a picture of what the restored one looked like before and what it looks like now.

That looks great  Dual rear wheels look really cool, Id love to do something like that. I don't know if Ill ever do it though, buying 2 pairs of Ags would hurt but the cool factor is thru the roof to be sure!

Duals are pretty cool, probly the main reason I have them. I did a lot of looking around to find the cheapest price, and Summit Racing had the cheapest 6-12s I could find, $45 each.

Jake, that's great work. I now have one question for you? Your birthdate shows you are only twelve. Is this correct? Or are you just a little bit older that that? It is not that it matters, just thought I would ask.

I am only eleven but I get a lot of help from my dad.And we can do a restoration a little bit easier because we own a body shop so we have all the tools to do it.

when I got that tractor it was black which I am not a fan of because the people just put shake and shoot over the rust. The red one I sanded and had my dad put good paint on. It is 400 dollars a gallon. Thanks for the replies

Looking good Jake. Gotta love those Suburbans with duals. Working on my second. My new dual wheel adapter will be cool with a built-in wheel weight between the duals. Just need to find the time.

Thanks for sharing.

My way to connect them is pretty simple. We just took a long round head bolt and cut a piece of pipe long enough to fit between the wheels and have a nut on the back. The bolts go through the 4 square holes.
