Interesting you bring this up, Ed. The weather this year all over the world seems to be really weird. Kinda makes a fella a little nervous :wh:

I would if I could figure out how to get there...................... :wh:

What you see in the photo is the "soupees".......the Superstition Mountains right behind 'Radio Butte', below 'Four Peaks' this side of Roosevelt Lake......and that is the home of the LOST DUTCHMAN gold mine. No roads, no trails, no nothing. Quite a few people die there.... a lot never found....every year. The top is about 8000 MSL or 6500 feet above the land...so it is always 20-25 degrees cooler.

Maybe next year.....

Now go'on git!!!

First,,,,,,,,,,,it would take me a year to climb to 8 thousand feet,

Second,,,,,,,,,,I am scared silly about the thought of climbing out on the wing and leaving her.

Third,,,,,,,,,,,,What if the wind blew me off the mountain and I parachuted into the valley into:

----------- APACHE JUNCTION---------Apache Junction Gold Canyon & Queen Valley, HOME OF THE SUPERSTITION MOUNTAINS AND THE LOST DUTCHMAN MINE.

where there is nothing but Cowboy, Dike and Harley Bars, Strip clubs and lonely widows living in trailer camps and RV parks?..............

later

hmmmmmmmmmm, on second thought...."hey honey wheres my old parachute?" :wh:

ouch, nevermind, bad idea

I'm thinking that USAF hardware will get you to 6500 AGL in about....what....30 seconds?
