starter belt guard spacer length

Recommended Posts

Martin

can anybody tell me the length of the spacer that goes between the belt guard and engine tin on my k241?

the manual has the length of the bolt that goes through the spacer so i guess i could start from there, but i would be happier if i could get a definite length. the id and od is easy enough to work out, but i want the guard to be spaced the correct distance from the engine and starter. to be sure i am talking about ref #79 spacer in the manual. the bolt dimensions from the manual : 1/4-20 x 1 1/2..

thanks in advance to any help.

martin.

You must have a 953 or 1054 they are the only one that use spacers, if no one answers this I'll look tomorrow after work when I'm back in the barn.

They are 1" all three of them, and look like 5/16" steel fuel line will be about the right size, just cut with a tubing cutter, and clean the ends up.
