Is the stepped area the only difference?

Seems like it would be fairly straightforward to have that step machined onto a non-Case block? Any high schools/ tech. schools in your area that would maybe do it as a class project?

As closure to the Case story, it is scheduled to go to the new owner tomorrow. He stopped by on his way home today and was thrilled with my progress.

For those of you who haven't seen it, Eldon posted a few videos at the end of THIS THREAD.

The K-241 replacement engine was originally in a CC, and my son Nick acquired it on a trade. With the help of Eldon (and a few swapped parts from the old engine) the transplant took place with only the addition of 8 additional flat washer "shims" between the hydraulic pump mount and the engine block, (you can't even see them when it's assembled) and about 1
