More Stuff Followed Me Home Today

A decent day, I think! A few mis-matched rims and tires, a boogered-up RJ-58 (the best kind for me), a Suburban Plow (HD-42), and a newer Techy Engine. The RJ will go nicely with some of my shelved parts. It even has some original foot rests included. With a recent purchase both the RJ's will have foot rests..

The hood has a bunch of small (1/8" or less) drilled holes in it but they can be made to go away easily. A few dings here and there but a fender hammer and block will make those go away too. Otherwise it in really good shape.

Looks like a nice haul, but RJ's never had foot rest, the ones on that tractor are 60 suburban.

I wasn't saying don't use them, just don't want ones that don't know, to think they are RJ foot rest, I agree they look good on there.

Nice find! Just to let you know that engine is for a sears snowblower. I just repaired one of those.

I think those footrests were an option starting in 1959 and you could go and get them for any tractor. I have had several rjs that came with those.

Heat shields were an option for later RJ58s..... and not an option for early RJ58s

What's up with that motor mount? Is it welded to the frame?

What is the piece that spans across the frame above the steering shaft? Is it part of the dozer blade mount? I know the RJ mount for the blade is different from the suburban but mine didn't have that bracket/brace with it.

Whoever had this one before the previous owner did some welder repairs to it.

The engine mount plate was a good example, it's welded on. I, nor the PO, have any idea what they were trying to do with the cross-span piece. Both will be removed and returned to original configuration.
