MikesRJ 552 #1 Posted March 8, 2011 I won a K91 short-block on EvilBay, rather local to me too (no shipping ... a big plus), the other day. When I went to pick up the block the owner says, "I have one nearly complete if you're interested". I take a look, we strike an agreeable price, and I come home with two instead of one. Not a bad days haul. As an added benefit, the almost complete K91 is a spec. 31900A. Except for the rope start and a few external accessory parts, it is very similar to the 31388A spec. which was the original late 1959/1960 RJ/Suburban engine. The existing shroud is drilled and nut-serted for a recoil, it came with the correct RJ style muffler, and has the threaded, non-flanged, exhaust port. The best part is I get it home, slap a carburetor on it, put some gas to it, and it runs like a champ! You gotta love it! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
