Should I get rid of the truck for a car?

All I know is, the first car company to make a 1/2 ton truck with a 200 hp turbo diesel is going to own the market.

It will never happen. Ford came very close but pulled the plug.

Government emission standards have made diesel vehicle even more outrageously priced, reduced their fuel economy and forced manufacturers to install devices that require more maintenance (beer is not a source of urea).

The only reason diesels are popular in EU is because the government gives a big tax break on diesel fuel. In the US, you actually pay a couple cents extra in federal fuel tax on diesel.

Well, we ended up trading the Envoy for a 2011 Ford Fusion so we went from 15-19mpg to 27-30mpg  . I thought that by purchasing a Ford we would be buying "american" but the Fusion was assembled in Mexico and who knows where the parts were manufactured chances are the Honda, Toyota and Nissan cars we looked at were more "american" :wh: than the Ford Fusion we purchased. We actually got this on a three year lease so every three years we can look forward to a new vehicle or purchase our lease vehicle.
