You can change the intake manifold and install a carburetor - plus you can probably use an OEM "stand-alone" HEI distributor or many of the other aftermarket ignition systems. It looks like the guy giving me the free truck is going to give it to his nephew instead but nothing is set in stone yet. I would rather have an already carbureted engine/truck anyways so I can begin my experiments sooner rather than wasting time converting the motor and making sure it works.
