Ram for the lift on the 18 started leaking today. Are the rams rebuildable ? It's leaking around the rod probobly just needs a new seal and wiper. If not rebuildable I guess I'll be looking for a new ram

Duane,

I do not believe they are rebuildable. I have seen them used on JD too. The ends are different than most.

Duane they all can be rebuilt to my knowledge if you have they welded type you can cut the welds or take it to a machine shop and they can cut the welds with a lathe. Marshall " Indy WH " has seals to rebuild them. Then you can reweld the end cap back on!!

here's a link to rebuild them..

Stevebo is correct, They aren't rebuildable. When I bought one of mine the PO said he had one of the lift cylinders rebuilt by a local hydraulic shop. They cut the back off rebuilt it & welded it back on. Only one problem, it still leaked. I replaced it with a used one. good luck
