MalMac 1,328 #1 Posted February 23, 2011 Like most people I have had enough of winter. Starting to think about how where Iam going to store my 520 with cab and 2 stage blower. I am not going to take off the cab or blower this year just going to clean her up and store for the summer. The question is, should I take the tension off the blower belt and spring assist or just leave it. On the tractors that sit I leave tension on the drive belts with no problems. Just seems to me there is alot of tension on that 2 stage belt to let sit idle for the 3 months of non use. I normally fire up the tractors that sit once a month or every other month and let come up to temp that way all the seals and belts get rotated and move back and forth so bearings don't develop flat spots. Wonder if I should do the same for the blower and belt? Anyway just stating to think about spring.
